Singer-songwriter BJ Stricker and his band The Kings of State Street are dropping the release of their new single “Kings of State Street.”

Their sound gives off a Red Hot Chili Peppers vibe with a unique twist of sounds from the South. This melodic tune is an effortless blend of alternative rock, jazz-fusion,and bluegrass. Stricker’s meaningful lyrics hidden under the laid-back, easy-to-listen to instrumentals complements the band’s overall style.

“I wrote this single for a group of characters I created in my head…The Kings are legendary musicians, almost mythical, who only come out of the dark to play on the streets” – Stricker

Kings of State (Single Release Party + Show) is going down at 7:30 pm this Friday, July 29 at The Prophet Bar in Deep Ellum. Tickets are $10 online and at the door. The event features supporting acts by Blue Apollo, Bronco Simmons, and Bryce Frazier and will be broadcasted live on KVGI Radio in Frisco, TX.

“Kings of State Street” will be available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and GooglePlay Friday, July 29th.
