“… Menacing and electric, with Dorothy’s vocals – which bring to mind the ear-bending acrobatics of Janis Joplin and Robert Plant – lighting the way through a bog of muddy riffs and bone-shaking beats.” – Rolling Stone

“Kicking ass in ruby slippers, that’s what DOROTHY does. Straight power and style on all fronts. Think Sleigh Bells intensity birthing a baby with Patti Smith’s gritty vocals… to restore your faith in the modern rock scene.” -Noisey

“They’re keeping it real with a stomping fuzz-rocker called ‘Wicked Ones.’ Its bluesy, chugging heartbeat (think Black Sabbath, White Stripes, or a myriad of others in between) gets the point across.” –Billboard

Dorothy made waves at SXSW 2015, unleashing a torrent of gritty, power-driven, intimidating, rock. The four piece reigns from LA fronted by singer Dorothy Martin, Zac Morris on drums, Marc Jackson on guitar and Gregg Cash on bass. Dorothy has already made a huge splash in the music scene in their short history making them a hot new act to watch.

Dorothy has hit the road with pop, R&B superstar Miguel for a North American whirlwind tour starting in Austin, TX in late July with the finish line in early September in California. Dorothy is excited to get back on the road and will serve as a spicy appetizer to Miguel, working the crowd into a panic with their unique, grindhouse blues style rock; refreshing in comparison to various indie-pop, post-rock contemporary groups budding from the woodwork. It’s awesome to see a female-fronted, attitude-filled band such as Dorothy get such a positive reception in the music scene. Heavy rock seems to be making a comeback of recent times. Get your tickets for the Miguel tour to catch Dorothy live in action.

In early 2015 Dorothy was signed to Roc Nation and has since amassed an impressive collection of accolades with comparisons ranging from rock legends Led Zeppelin and Patti Smith to more contemporary acts like The Sleigh Bells. Dorothy has earned themselves a reputation for explosive, energy-driven performances.

Dorothy released their self-titled EP in 2014 that has been used in HBO’s Game of Thrones preview, THE BRINK, Gatorade with Serena Williams and a whole bunch more. Edgy headphone and electronics creators Skullcandy used Dorothy’s track ‘Wicked Ones’ in their recent Crusher campaign with more coming out over summer 2015 – stay tuned on Twitter @skullcandy. Pretty impressive for a debut EP! You can get your ears wrapped around a copy of the EP on iTunes. Dorothy is currently working towards a full-length studio album and a killer new music video.  FULL TOUR DATES HERE
