The Internet’s veins are coursing with accolades about the latest album release Blood from English folk/jazz songstress Lianne La Havas. A steady drip has been trickling tracks from Blood onto the interwebz with the latest taste What You Don’t Do leaked on June 22nd. Critics have been drinking up the releases like thirsty vampires unremittingly applauding La Havas for her vocal performances. Comparisons range from Amy Winehouse to Alicia Keys yet distinctively La Havas. Nonesuch/Warner Bros Records will let the album Blood run free on July 31st, 2015. Blood is La Havas’s 2nd album following her critically acclaimed, award winning, 2012 debut album Is Your Love Big Enough? La Havas’s 2012 album took home iTunes UK Album of the Year, the Barclaycard Mercury Prize and was nominated for Ivor Novello Best Album. What will Blood draw?

La Havas reportedly wrote Blood during her recent trip to Jamaica with her mother. The mother-daughter adventure seized La Havas’s imagination, inspired by her reconnection to her Greek-Jamaican roots. In the words of Gloria Estefan – the rhythm is gonna get you – this is evident in La Havas’s trickles of Blood which draw on rich, rhythmical tapestries qualified by her cultural heritage. Legendary dancehall/reggae producer Stephen McGregor joined in the making of Blood along with Adele/FKA twigs collaborator Paul Epworth.

La Havas will be on tour for her new album Blood with US dates in July, September and October 2015. You can get your paws on tickets for the Sep/Oct shows on Friday, June 26th, at liannelahavas.com and in exchange you’ll get a cool, digital download of Blood in its entirety with a code you’ll get by email on July 31st. Limited Exclusive VIP Packages will also be made available at liannelahavas.com and Future-Beat.com that include a show ticket, uniquely (awesome) merchandise, and priority entry. Shows are selling out fast so you better get in quick and get sum!

La Havas has newly had a notable weekend of recording with Prince at Paisley Park for his upcoming album Art Official Age. La Havas also just cut another track with Matt Hales on fresh Aqualung song “Egg Shells”. If that wasn’t enough this accomplished young lady also features on Tourist’s brand new tune “Patterns” and Alt-J’s “Warm Foothills”.
